SketchIndecent Exposure Suspect Vehicle (9/25/2013)

This following information is an update to a release sent out by the Tempe Police Department on 8-26-13 regarding a male suspect who exposed himself to two Marcos de Niza High School students while they were standing outside of the school grounds.

Since that incident we have received three additional reports of similar incidents with a similar suspect description. The following is a list of the incidents:

-8/26/13 4:30 PM - 6000 S Lakeshore
-8/26/13 5:30 PM - Rice Dr/Hardy Dr
-9/6/13 1:40 PM - McKemy St and Guadalupe Rd
-9/23/13 6:45 PM - 900 W Yale Dr

In these incidents the suspect has approached females 12-14 years of age and exposed himself to the victims.

The suspect has been described as a White male 20-25 years of age, brown hair - possibly parted on the side - thin build clean shaven.

The suspect vehicle has been described as a 2009 or newer silver four door - possibly a Chevy Malibu.

A photo of the vehicle taken from video obtained during the most recent incident is attached. A composite sketch of the suspect in the most recent incident is attached as well.

While there are similarities in the witness descriptions, the subject in the sketch and the vehicle information provided may not be involved in all four incidents.

The Tempe Police Department would like to remind parents, students, and all other members of our community to be alert and mindful of their personal safety.

Tempe PD wants to alert our community to an indecent exposure incident.

On Monday, August 26th at approximately 4:30 PM two Marcos De Niza students were standing outside the school grounds waiting for pickup from a parent when an unknown male pulled up next to them in his vehicle. The suspect pulled up next to the girls to speak to them when one of the girls noticed the suspect was exposing himself to them. The suspect then left the area without further contact. When the victim’s parent arrived they reported the incident to school officials.

The victims provided the following description of the suspect
• white male
• 20-25 years old
• clean shaven
• medium build
• wearing a blue striped polo shirt

The victims described the vehicle the suspect was driving as a grey vehicle, older than 2005 with an unknown Arizona license plate.

Tempe Detectives are actively working this investigation and are asking for the public’s help in locating and identifying this suspect. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Tempe Police Department at 480-350-8311.
