Home MenuHardy Drive - Baseline to Guadalupe
A large-scale traffic calming project along Hardy Drive between Baseline and Guadalupe roads will include bike lanes with two-foot buffers from vehicular traffic and stormwater harvesting features in the landscape area for more sustainable plant life lining the streets. Safety features include a raised intersection at Cornell Drive. There will be left turn lanes at McKemy Street, Cornell, Rice and Julie Drives.
Background
In response to residents’ concerns about vehicle speed, safety, traffic volume, and noise, the City has prepared alternatives for the corridor. Public meetings were held Sept. 12, 2024. Based on resident feedback, the City is proceeding forward with Alternative A.

Timeline
Final design is expected to be completed in spring 2026 with construction anticipated to start in summer 2026.
