This recognition highlights our commitment to advancing resilient, sustainable energy solutions for our the Tempe community.

The Energy Team works to reduce greenhouse gas emissions, advance energy efficiency, and transition our community toward clean, renewable energy. The City of Tempe has set ambitious goals, aiming for 100% renewable energy for municipal operations by 2035 and achieving carbon neutrality in both community and municipal operations by 2050.

ProjectsResponsible for outreach and engagement programming focused on energy, particularly in frontline communities, to expand access to energy efficiency and environmental benefits. Oversees a range of initiatives including the Mobile Home Retrofit Program, CDP climate disclosure reporting, and the tracking and management of utility rebates, hydropower credits, and EV charging revenue.

Projects: Oversee the collection, management, and analysis of energy data, including building energy consumption and solar generation, to evaluate energy programs and measure progress toward climate and sustainability goals.
