Now open: Sustainability Achievement Award Nominations
The Sustainability & Resilience Commission asks Tempe residents to nominate people, projects or organizations for the sustainability achievement of the year award. This award is meant to highlight the work being done in our city that sets an example of how we can create a more sustainable and resilient city through collaborative work. Full details and instructions can be found on the nomination form. Nominations are due by 5pm on Feb 5 2026.
Our Work: Mitigation & Adaptation
The City of Tempe's Sustainability & Resilience Division (SRD) is dedicated to reducing urban heat and working toward a more resilient Tempe. Formed in 2018, the Division engages with community, nonprofit partners, businesses, and is guided by the 2022 Climate Action Plan Update.
