Thank you for your participation in the City of Tempe's Equal Pay for Equal Work initiative.  This form will allow you to submit your numbers based on the data in blue on your Self Assessment Tool.  Qualified employers will be showcased as an "Equal Pay for Equal Work Business Partner."

  • While not reported directly to the City of Tempe, it is important to keep the raw data from the Self Assessment Tool for five years for potential auditing purposes.
  • Qualified businesses will report pay gaps less than or equal to 8%.  There may be situations where there are pay gaps that fall above 8%. We have allowed for some narration in each category to explain the pay gap if these situations are due to:
    • A Seniority System
    • A Merit system
    • A system which measures earnings by quantity or quality of production; or
    • A differential based on any other factor other than sex
  • Equal Pay for Equal Work Business Partner designations are good for one year.
  • In issuing the Equal Pay for Equal Work Business Partner designation, the City of Tempe is not guaranteeing that the business is in compliance with all applicable laws governing equal pay.
