Leak Repair Resources

Service Line Warranties of America: Tempe SLiPP has been replaced. Learn more.
Emergency Home Repair Program: Emergency home repair assistance is available to low and moderate-income homeowners in the City of Tempe to correct health and safety deficiencies. Neighbors Helping Neighbors program: This Tempe Community Action Agency Program aims to connect neighbors in need with neighbors who care. Included in their menu of in-home services, they provide light home maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, air filters, and smoke alarm or hearing aid batteries and minor home and plumbing repairs. To request services, contact TCAA's service line at 480-381-8336.
Tenant/Landlord Hotline: Residents renting anywhere in the metropolitan area can utilize the Phoenix Tenant/Landlord Hotline by calling 602-256-3517.

Water Efficiency Resources

High-Efficiency Rebates: Rebates are available for Tempe residents for high-efficiency toilets, smart watering controllers, desert plants and more. Visit the Rebates page to review all available rebates and to learn how to participate.
Water Consultation: Tempe residents may receive personalized water consultations to assist with leak detection, irrigation controller settings and identifying causes of higher than expected utility bills. Consults include specific recommendations on how to save water, improve plant health and reduce the utility bill, if possible. SRP Marketplace for High-Efficiency Fixtures: Salt River Project's "SRP Marketplace" is an online store that makes the purchase of energy and water-saving products and services easy for customers in the SRP service area by applying rebates instantly during checkout for eligible purchases. Visit the SRP Marketplace to confirm eligibility and view a list of products.
WaterSmart Customer Portal: Register for WaterSmart to access water usage information and receive high usage, high bill or leak notifications. Visit WaterSmart for more information. The Customer Portal is best viewed on a desktop computer. Internet and computer access is available at the Tempe Public Library. Additionally, income-eligible residents who are 50 years or older may apply to borrow a Chromebook and internet Wi-Fi hotspots. Learn more at Connect Tempe.

Utility Bill Payment Resources

Tempe Utility Bill Payment Plans: Call City of Tempe Customer Service representatives to make a payment plan for paying Tempe utility bills. Tempe has flexible options. Call 480-350-8361.
Rent and Utility Assistance Hotline: Tempe Community Action Agency Program offers emergency relief for rent, mortgage, and utility payments for households experiencing a financial crisis. The application is available online at or by calling 480-389-1375.
Arizona 2-1-1 Crisis Network: Tempe 2-1-1 operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week and provides help in English and Spanish. Operators will help individuals and families find resources that are available to them locally and throughout the state. Operators will connect callers to critical services, including utility assistance. Call 2-1-1 to get connected.
Maricopa County Client Portal: Residents needing assistance through Maricopa County's Human Services Department (HSD) can quickly determine the programs they're eligible for, through an updated Client Portal. From early education to career services, rental assistance to home improvement help, the improved portal offers expanded, 24/7 pre-screening for HSD programs and is now available in both English and Spanish.

The Tempe Community Action Agency provides the Neighbors Helping Neighbors program, which aims to connect neighbors in need with neighbors who care. Included in their menu of in-home services, they provide light home maintenance, such as replacing light bulbs, air filters, and smoke alarm or hearing aid batteries and minor home and plumbing repairs. In-home care is available to Tempe seniors in need of assistance to remain living independently. To request services, contact TCAA's service line at 480-381-8336. A case manager will follow up to schedule an intake interview, determine eligibility, and develop a service plan with the participating senior. Program memberships are for a one-year period. Membership fees may apply.
