Residential Desert Plant Rebate

Single-family Residential Properties

Tempe Water Conservation's Desert Plant Rebate provides up to $75 towards the pre-tax purchase price of desert-adapted, low-water-use plants installed on a Tempe single-family residential property each fiscal year (July 1 to June 30).

Desert Plant Rebate Terms & Conditions

Complete the Required Workshop for the Desert Plant Rebate

The Desert Plant Rebate requires applicants to complete a workshop within 90 days from the date listed on the itemized plant receipt(s). Applicants can complete the online Plant Care Workshop or attend an in-person workshop from the Sustainable Living Workshop Series.


Apply for the Desert Plant Rebate in combination with the Grass Removal & Conversion Rebate

Tempe Water Conservation offers a Grass Removal & Conversion Rebate to convert grass, or turf, to a xeriscape for single family residential properties.  Applying for the Desert Plant Rebate in combination with the Landscape Conversion Rebate may qualify the participant to receive up to $125 for the Desert Plant Rebate.
