Crime Statistics and Resources
The following statistics and crime data are provided to the public as part of our commitment to transparency. These resources offer insight into crime trends and activity within the City of Tempe.
As part of our ongoing commitment to transparency and accurate reporting, the Tempe Police Department has transitioned to the National Incident-Based Reporting System (NIBRS) in 2022. This system offers a more detailed and comprehensive view of crime in our community. Crime data prior to March 15, 2025 may contain inconsistencies due to internal changes to reporting that were made. We appreciate the community’s understanding as we continue to improve the quality, clarity, and reliability of our public safety data.
