Smart911 is a private, secure, and FREE service!

In August 2014, Tempe became the first municipality in Arizona to launch Smart911, a service that allows residents to proactively share important information with 9-1-1 before an emergency occurs.

By creating a Smart911 Safety Profile, residents can provide details about their household, medical needs, and other critical information that may help first responders during an emergency.

Your profile is stored securely and is only visible to 9-1-1 call takers if you dial 9-1-1 from a registered phone number.

Examples of information you can include in your safety profile:

Household details (names, dates of birth, photos)
Medical conditions, medications, or disabilities
Phone numbers connected to your household
Emergency contacts
Vehicle information
