Xeriscape Demonstration Garden

The Tempe Xeriscape Demonstration Garden is located at the City of Tempe Woman's Club Park (1265 N. College Ave.). The Garden promotes desert-lush landscape plants, showcasing each of the trees found in the Landscape Plants for the Arizona Desert database, as well as a variety of cacti, succulent, groundcover and shrubs. Interpretive signage and plant identification plaques are available to guide visitors throughout the demonstration.

Demo Garden

Originally funded by a grant from the Arizona Department of Water Resources, the Garden is maintained by Tempe Water Conservation in partnership with the Tempe Parks

Coronavirus (COVID-19) Update: The Xeriscape Demonstration Garden water fountains, trails, paths, open spaces and walkways are open are open from dawn to dusk. However, all Tempe Women's Club Park amenities, including playgrounds, ramadas and picnic areas are CLOSED until further notice. Visitors users must follow the six-feet social distancing rule and all CDC policies. Visit for the most up-to-date information.
