Construction on Fire Medical Rescue Station 7 began in late May 2018, with the station starting service on November 21, 2019. At the same time, Estrada Park underwent improvements and reopened in spring 2019.

Construction looking eastDecember 2018 - A majority of the underground work has been completed for the building site. The foundation and slab are installed and many of the walls have been erected and filled with grout. Work will now start to set the trusses, frame the interior walls and apparatus bay, install the plumbing, electrical, and HVAC, and finish the exterior site walls and other masonry work.

Estrada Park groundbreaking, Fire Station 7 groundbreaking

May 2018 - Estate La Colina neighbors joined Mayor Mark Mitchell and Councilmember Lauren Kuby and staff from Tempe Fire Medical Rescue, Public Works and Community Services departments in a groundbreaking for the new fire station and park improvements. Watch our Tempe11 video.
