🌙 After-Hours Establishment License
An After-Hours Establishment is:
A dance hall or a liquor-licensed premises open to patrons between 2:30 a.m. and 6:00 a.m. where dancing occurs.
🚫 Age Restrictions

No one under 18 is permitted inside an after-hours establishment.
🍺 Alcohol Restrictions

No spirituous liquor may be sold, served, furnished, or consumed between 2:30 a.m. – 6:00 a.m.

If the business holds a state liquor license, all alcohol service must stop at the time required by Arizona law.

📝 STEP 1 — Prepare Required Documents
Have the following documents ready before applying:
📄 Operational Plan
A written plan of operation showing how you will comply with §16A-87 and all related code requirements.
Note: Any future changes must be approved before implementation.
💼 TPT (Sales Tax) License
A valid Transaction Privilege Tax (TPT) License — renewed annually.

📐 Floor Plan
A scaled interior diagram of the establishment.
🗺 Vicinity Ownership Map
Must show all parcels within 300 feet of the property (excluding public ROW).
📬 Vicinity Ownership Mailing List + Labels
Names and mailing addresses (with ZIP codes) for owners of all properties shown on the vicinity map (per county assessment records).
🏢 Complex/Center Tenant List + Labels
Names and mailing addresses of all tenants sharing common parking or ingress/egress with the proposed establishment.
📝 STEP 2 — Submit Your Tempe After-Hours License Application
A Tempe After-Hours Establishment License is required annually.
Applications must include:

A Use Permit from the Planning Division is required.
