Tempe is gathering feedback on a proposal to modify the Orbit Earth bus route. The proposed change includes relocating the route from the Mill Avenue Bridge and Curry Road to Rio Salado Parkway and Rural/Scottsdale roads. Please see map below for details.

The proposal includes a modified route traveling along Rio Salado Parkway and Rural Road to better serve activity areas at Scottsdale Road and Playa del Norte Drive. Two bus stops at the Curry Road and Mill Avenue intersection will be eliminated. The proposed Earth route would connect to the existing route at Curry Road and College Avenue. The segment of the route proposed to be removed, on Curry Road between College and Mill avenues, would still be accessible by the nearby Valley Metro Rail or a short walk across the Mill Avenue Bridge. The proposed change serves areas with high residential and employment densities (like Playa del Norte, WaterMark, and Rio Salado Parkway).
