Certified Autism Center

The City of Tempe is honored to have earned the designation of a Certified Autism Center from the International Board of Credentialing and Continuing Educational Standards [IBCCES] for undergoing training and implementing new programs and resources for those with autism, as well as sensory-sensitive individuals. 

IBCCES completed on-site reviews of facilities and parks in Tempe and created sensory guides for each location. These guides give the City of Tempe a better understanding of how to best support the needs and provide accommodations for those with autism and their families.
