Deadline: March 2, 2026, at 4:00 pm

The City of Tempe is excited to announce that the Mayor’s All-Abilities Awards celebration will be on April 14, 2026.  This annual event is currently scheduled from 4:00 to 5:30 p.m. at the Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway, Tempe, AZ 85281.  

Please take this opportunity to submit nominations to recognize businesses, agencies, educators, individuals and students who demonstrate ability, advocacy, access and achievements for this annual awards event. You are invited to submit more than one nomination.

Eligibility Requirements

  • Nominees must work, live, volunteer or impact people with disabilities in Tempe. 
  • All information must be accurate and current and include sufficient contact information.
  • Current City Officials or Disability Concerns Commissioners are not eligible.
  • Nominations must be received by March 2, 2026, at 4:00 pm.

Award Categories

Outstanding High School Student - For high school seniors with disabilities transitioning to further education or training.

Outstanding Youth - For youth with disabilities (developmental age under 18) demonstrating dedication and success.

Exceptional Educator - For educators providing exceptional education and support to students with disabilities.

Tim Bolen Award of Merit- For non-youth individuals improving the quality of life for Tempe residents with disabilities.

Pride of the City Award - For organizations or businesses improving the quality of life for Tempe citizens with disabilities.

Nomination Process 

  1. Complete the Nomination form by March 2, 2026, at 4:00 pm
  2. You will be notified of the status of the nomination via email
  3. If selected, your nominee(s) will be notified and invited to attend the Awards Ceremony on April 14, 2026.
  4. Your nominee(s) will be notified and invited to attend the Awards Ceremony on April 14th.
