Adaptive Recreation
Adaptive Recreation programs are offered to youth and adults with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities. Westside is proud to host a number of these programs in our spaces. Learn more about these opportunities below or on the Adaptive Recreation site.
Camp Adventure
Camp Adventure is a recreational school break camp for those with intellectual/developmental disabilities ages 10-22 years old. We will focus on community based activities, life skills, arts & crafts and so much more! Camp participants must be able to participate successfully in a 1:4 staff-to-participant environment.
LEAP is an in-person City of Tempe recreational after-school program for students with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities ages 10 -22 years old who attend and receive special education services in the Tempe area school districts. The focus of the program is on socialization, life skill development and enrichment through various recreational programs and activities, including: arts & crafts, physical activities, technology and more!
The Boys and Girls Clubs of the Valley offers after-school care, summer camps, homework help, special interest clubs and so much more for children ages 5-18. Learn more and register on their site.
Cahill Senior Center (ages 50+)
Dennis J. Cahill Senior Center
Westside is the proud home of the Cahill Senior Center. It offers educational, social and fitness opportunities for adults ages 50+. Be sure to check out our calendar of events or Cahill's webpage to see the latest about all activities, classes and programs!
Maricopa County Head Start offers high-quality early education programs for ages 0-3 and 3-5. It focuses on developing the physical, social, emotional and learning skills that children need to be ready for kindergarten. Learn more and register on Maricopa County's website.
