Classes (age 50+)

Our Geri Fit program is a seated class specifically for adults 50+. It focuses on functional fitness and movements that can be completed while in a chair. Learn more and register here.

Fitness Center & Open Gym

Fitness Center

Days and times:
*A free facility membership and $1 drop-in fee are required. Fitness plan memberships are also available.
Monday-Friday: 8 a.m. - 8 p.m.
Saturday: 10 a.m. - 5 p.m.
Sunday: Closed

Equipment:

Three treadmills
Two elliptical cross-trainers
One recumbent bike
Two upright bikes
Five multi-exercise strength training machines
One set of dumbbells
Three TV's with cable access
Towels are provided for members use while in the center

Open Gym

On select days and times, the gym is open for co-ed, drop-in sports. Space is limited to the first 25 participants to check in. Please note that a free facility membership and paid fitness membership are required for all participants. For more info on memberships, see this page.

Congregate Lunches

Image of people eating together On Mondays and Wednesdays at 11:30 a.m., the Tempe Community Action Agency (TCAA) runs their lunch meal program. This initiative aims to combat food insecurity in vulnerable populations by serving communal, nutritious meals. $4 for adults 55+; $7 for adults 18-54. Home-Delivered Meals*

Image of volunteers The TCAA Home-Delivered Meal (HDM) program serves meals to home-bound elderly and disabled individuals in Tempe and South Scottsdale. Food is delivered Monday-Friday between 9:30 a.m. and 12:30 p.m. Learn more and register for the program on TCAA's website.

Senior Center

The North Tempe Senior Center is operated by the City of Tempe. The center offers daily coffee and treats, books, magazines, a Smart TV, playing cards, puzzles and a collection of board games. Programming includes congregate lunch on Mondays and Wednesday (provided by TCAA), arts & crafts, special event, guest speakers and exercise programs.

The center operates Monday-Friday 8 a.m - 1 p.m.
