Junior Lifeguard Program

The Junior Lifeguard volunteer program provides aspiring lifeguards ages 13-15 an opportunity to build a foundation of knowledge, attitude and skills needed to be an outstanding future lifeguard. This program is aimed at helping participants develop in the general areas of leadership, professionalism, fitness, and teamwork in an aquatic setting.  Over the course of the summer, participants will be introduced to real lifeguard duties including CPR, first aid, guest safety practices, facility maintenance, assisting with pool programming and interacting with the guests. Participants will have the opportunity to become certified through Ellis and Associates in CPR/AED and First Aid. Junior lifeguarding is great way for young, strong swimmers to transition their swimming knowledge into job opportunities and skills that can help themselves, their friends, and their families. This program does not certify participants as lifeguards.
