Arts Grants are available to non-profit organizations and creative businesses who are providing arts and cultural experiences in Tempe. The funding helps to ignite creative vibrancy, support capacity building for local arts organizations and grow connections among the community.

Arts in Schools programing expands creative learning for elementary, middle and high school students located within Tempe Elementary School District, Kyrene School District, Tempe Union High School District, Tempe Preparatory Academy and New School for Arts and Academics while supporting local arts educators and providing paid opportunities for local artists. The programs also provide opportunities for students to showcase their work through public events such as Dance Tempe and Music under the Stars.

Arts in the Parks brings 16-20 free arts events to neighborhood parks throughout Tempe providing community members with accessible ways to engage with a variety of artforms.  This hyper-local event series features live music, hands-on art activities, food trucks, dance performances and interactive art installations. 

Edna Vihel Arts Center offers a variety of programs for artists of all ages and skill levels led by experienced teaching artists in a fun and welcoming environment. With over 355 classes and hands-on workshops available every year, there is something for everyone at Edna Arts.  

Free Art Friday is an event for children ages 6 months to 5 years and their grownups. Occurring six times a year, each event allows caregivers and their little ones to explore and create together through themed art projects, imaginative play and music. 

Tempe Playlist captures the talents and sounds of the Valley by compiling a local collection of musicians who live, work and play in Tempe. The playlist functions as a pre-qualified list of musicians who are eligible to perform at various Community Arts events.

Tempe Jam is a free, annual music festival featuring bands from Tempe Playlist. Each year, Tempe Jam continues to grow with interactive art installations, dance performances, arts activities, food trucks and more.

• Tempe PlayDay - With the Tempe Community Services Department at Fiesta Playground at Kiwanis Park, 5500 S. Mill Avenue
