CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) RESPONSE: 

All Tempe facilities and park amenities are closed until further notice to help minimize the spread of coronavirus (COVID-19). All classes, leagues and events have also been canceled until further notice. Please visit tempe.gov/coronavirus for up-to-date information.

Tempe at Home is a series of virtual and online classes and activities to help us stay connected while staying apart. Check out the Tempe at Home page and explore the options.

Adaptive Recreation programs are offered to youth and adults with developmental disabilities. For more information about specific programs please select from the following:

Update on Tempe Special Olympics Sports, Adaptive Classes and Activities 
Activities that are not active until the end of April 2020 for Adaptive Recreation [effective immediately] :

1. Buddy Bowling
    No practice: March 21st- April 25th, 2020

2. Zumba
    No class: March 17th- April 28th, 2020

3. Adaptive Soccer
    No practice: March 17th – March 24th, 2020
    Season over

4. Adaptive Kayaking
    No practice: March 25th- April 29th, 2020

5. Friday Night Social Activity
     No activity on April 3rd, 2020: Movie

6. Friday Night Social Activity
     No activity on April 10th, 2020: Dance

Information regarding Special Olympics:
At the direction of Special Olympics International, Special Olympics Arizona Summer Games will be canceled. All Special Olympics International and Special Olympics Arizona events, fundraising and activities are canceled through May 31. This includes Tempe’s track and field, powerlifting and volleyball programs.

Information regarding LEAP:
To help keep our students and community healthy and safe, we are following the state’s school timeline and will not offer the LEAP program until Tempe schools are back in session.
