Orchestra, cello, and string performances, and art-making stations lead by Lake Park Villas and Sandcastle Neighborhood Associations. This event has also included a 3-month artist residency with Kid Zone at Rover Elementary School who have been developing the script and set design for an interactive theater performance that will take place during the event.

Arts Activities

Theater Performance with DogEar Theatre Productions

 DogEar Theatre Productions is a theatre for young audiences company dedicated to bringing theatrical events to public spaces, and were commissioned by the City of Tempe to create Between Two Worlds for Arts in the Parks at Scudder Park. They have been in residence for 4 months with Kid Zone at Rover Elementary School working with students to design sets, create the script, and learn movement from the show. Performances at 5:30 & 7:00 p.m.


Meet your neighbors and create art that will be part of the play Between Two Worlds by DogEar Theatre Productions Arts activities will include making Rock Art with images of home, river ribbons, and a garden of flowers. Arts activities will be lead by residents from the Sandcastle Neighborhood Association, Lake Park Villas Neighborhood Association, and The Lakes Homeowner's Association.
