Calls to Artists
Tempe Arts + Culture frequently has opportunities for artists and creatives to perform at events, share work in gallery spaces, design and create public art, and many other opportunities with Tempe History Museum, Tempe Public Art, Tempe Galleries, Tempe Arts Engagement, and Tempe Center for the Arts.
The Studio Artists Program is looking for a visual artist with teaching experience. This partnership between Tempe Elementary District and the City of Tempe provides students with an opportunity to experience quality arts programming while providing personal studio space for the artists.
Artists receive $150 per four-hour workshop taught in approximately 25 classrooms. The artist will develop one workshop that relates to his or her artistic expertise and teach that same workshop to 4th graders. The residency commitment is two years with an option to renew. The artist will receive a studio space located at an elementary school in Tempe. The personal studio space is available to the artist at all times of the day and throughout the year.

Arts in the Parks - Visual Artist RFQ
The City of Tempe is looking for visual artists to work with communities who live near Tempe parks. Artists will attend planning meetings, host workshops, and work with community members to create temporary and participatory visual arts projects that enhance and highlights the park and park’s community during an Arts in the Parks event in Spring 2020. Artists with experience in community-based art-making, community-driven design, creative placemaking and/or have experience involving community in the ideation, creation, and implementation of creating and sharing art are encouraged to apply.

IN FLUX Cycle 9 - Public Art
IN FLUX Cycle 9 Partner Cities invite artists across all disciplines to create temporary public artworks in a wide variety of locations throughout the Valley. IN FLUX partners seek to provide opportunity, experience, and education to emerging and established artists who want to enter the field of public art. These opportunities are well suited for artists with no public art experience but also offer a fresh approach for experts in the field.

Arts Office Assistant | Edna Vihel Arts Center
The Arts Office Assistant position works at the front desk of the Edna Vihel Arts Center on Rural Road and Southern Avenue. We are seeking an assistant to help with administrative duties, class registration, accounting and marketing for the arts education programming. This role requires customer service skills, creativity, attention to detail, and project management skills.

Event Assistant | Tempe Center for the Arts
Tempe Arts & Culture seeks an Event Assistant to join the Tempe Center for the Arts team. This position will assist with event facilitation and requires excellent customer service and communication skills. Tasks include conducting walk-throughs, managing assigned events, and serving as the day-of, onsite contact.

Event Attendants | Tempe Center for the Arts
Tempe Center for the Arts continually accepts applications for four Event Attendant positions from applicants with strong customer service skills. Event Attendants interface with the public, ensure house safety procedures are followed, assist patrons during events, and/or drive golf cart shuttles.

School Arts Grants
School Arts Grants are available to teachers in Tempe schools for arts programming. Funds are available to expand and enhance the services already provided by school arts curriculum, programs and clubs. Grants can be used to fund services of artists and teaching artists, arts supplies, production costs, exhibitions, tickets to an arts program, transportation and space rental. Requests are available up to a maximum of $750 and do not require matching funds.
