CARE 7 Youth Support Specialists

School is about more than just grades—it’s about how a student feels. That’s why CARE 7 Youth Support Specialists are right on campus in all six Tempe Union High Schools and many Tempe Elementary/Middle Schools. They are there to listen, support, and help students navigate the ups and downs of growing up.

How We Help Students

Life can get overwhelming. Our Youth Specialists are friendly, trained professionals who help students work through:

• Big Emotions: Dealing with stress, anxiety, depression, or anger.
• Life Skills: Learning how to resolve conflicts and handle tough situations.
• Crisis Support: Being a steady hand when things go wrong unexpectedly.
• Personal Growth: Building the confidence to be effective in the classroom and beyond.

What to Expect

• We meet with students one-on-one or in small groups.
• These services are 100% free for students and their families.
• Students can talk with us for as long as they need—there is no "cutoff" date.
• Because we are part of the larger CARE 7 team, we don’t just help the student; we help the whole family get food, clothing, and long-term resources if they’re struggling.
