Jumpstart Your Career with a CARE 7 Internship

Are you looking for hands-on experience in crisis intervention, victim services, or case management? CARE 7 offers meaningful internships for students who are compassionate, flexible, and ready to take initiative. 

Our team includes several MSWs qualified to serve as practicum instructors, ensuring you receive high-quality supervision and mentorship during your placement. 

Areas of Focus 

We offer specialized tracks for students interested in: 

  • Crisis Intervention   
  • Victim Services 
  • Veteran Services 
  • Case Management 
  • Youth Support Specialist 

Eligibility & Requirements 

To ensure a successful placement, all interns must meet the following: 

  • Academic Enrollment: You must be currently enrolled in a college course or practicum. We cannot accommodate students not seeking academic credit. 
  • Background & Safety: A current DPS Level One Fingerprint Clearance Card and CPR Certification are required. 
  • Personal Attributes: We look for self-starters who thrive in dynamic, fast-paced environments. 

Participating Universities 

We have existing affiliate agreements with the following institutions: 

  • Arizona: ASU, Grand Canyon University, South Mountain Community College 
  • National: University of Kentucky, Western New Mexico University, Indiana University, Louisiana State University, University of Northern Iowa.

Don’t see your school? No problem! We can set up a new agreement, but it must be finalized the semester before you start. 

Example: If you want to start in the Fall, the agreement must be finished by Summer

Note: It is the student's responsibility to initiate this process with their school’s internship coordinator.

 Applications for fall 2026 will open April 1 through April 17, 2026 and interviews will conclude May 1, 2026. Students will be notified the week of May 4, 2026.
