The City of Tempe is now accepting online submittals for all Planning Applications!

CitizenAccess

The Community Development Department is now offering customers the ability to submit ALL Planning Division applications online through the City of Tempe Accela Citizen Access (ACA) Portal! Due to the COVID-19 pandemic the Community Development front counter is closed to the public and the Planning Division is implementing safety measures by accepting online submittals and resubmittals. Effective Tuesday, May 12th, 2020, all submittals MUST be submitted through the portal. Submittals by fax, mail, or over the counter will no longer be accepted after the effective date.

If you are a new user to the ACA Portal, please register for a free Citizen Access account. How to Guides for Preliminary Site Plan Review and Formal Planning Applications are available on the Planning Division’s Applications, Forms, and Permits web page.

Planning assists customers through the development entitlement process such as use permits, variances, development plans and land division approvals per the General Plan and Zoning and Development Code; processes change or adoption of codes and ordinances; facilitates the rules and regulations applicable to new development, redevelopment, construction, and property conservation, signs; and provides administrative support for boards, commissions and City Council.

Community Development/Planning is located at City Hall, Garden (lower) Level, on the east side. Parking is available in the City Parking garage on Fifth Street and Forest Avenue.
