Within the city of Tempe, there are outstanding education choices from preschool to graduate school.  Tempe has three public school districts and two institutions dedicated to post-secondary education. Charter, private and home school options are part of the education choices in the city.

Tempe Elementary School District

The district’s preschool and K-8 experiences include National Blue Ribbon and Arizona Education A+ schools.

Kyrene School District

The district’s selection of educational options for children PreK-8 combines core curriculum and specials/electives.

Tempe Union High School District
The high school district has six comprehensive high schools and one alternative high school that offers a blended learning environment. Most of its 14,500 students live within three miles of their school.

Arizona State University

Tempe is home to the university’s main campus.

Rio Salado College
The college’s headquarters and community classrooms are in Tempe.
