Ever wondered what goes on at the State Capitol? Tempe residents are invited to join the Mayor and Council for Neighborhood Day at the State Legislature. Attendees will have the opportunity to meet their councilmembers, learn about Tempe’s legislative program and get acquainted with their Arizona legislative representatives. Participants will also have time for self-guided tours after the program.

When: Wednesday, January 16, 2019 from 8:30 to 10:30a.m.

Where: Arizona State Senate, 1700 W. Washington St. Phoenix, AZ

Free parking is available at the League of Arizona Cities and Towns, 1820 W. Washington St., Phoenix. To take public transportation to the event, visit www.valleymetro.org for bus, light rail and park-and-ride information.

Policy changes at the state level can affect the resources, activities and operations in Tempe so it’s important to stay informed. Residents are encouraged to bring their questions and share their neighborhood stories.
