The Hearing Officer conducts public hearings to evaluate and make decisions regarding property abatements. The Hearing Officer has a duty to uphold the General Plan and Zoning and Development Code, and to ensure the provisions and intent of these regulations are carried out effectively.

To foster transparency and accessibility, all hearings conducted by the Hearing Officer are open to the public and are also broadcast online through Tempe 11. The City of Tempe values your input and encourages property owners and residents to participate.
