The Standard Plan Library is a collection of pre-reviewed standard plans for detached accessory dwelling units (ADUs) and single-family residential units. Plans may be purchased from a designer and used to permit and construct in Tempe. Follow these steps to use the Standard Plans.

Select your design: Browse the list of standard plans below. Contact information for each designer is provided and may be contacted for questions about their plan.

License the plan: Contact the designer to obtain the license to use their standard plan. You may be able to use this plan on your own or with the help of a professional other than the design company in which case they may request a release of liability as they may not be involved in the use of the plans.

Submit Building Permits: Submit the required documents for Building Permits and begin construction once Building Permits are issued.
