Tempe Instagrammys celebrates photographers and the best photos taken of Tempe each year. The contest honors local photographers with recognition, trophies and very special Tempe prizes.
The Instagrammys were awarded the 2019 top social media prize in the nation from 3CMA, an organization dedicated to promoting excellence in communication for cities and towns.
Kris Baxter-Ging will be at Tempe Center for the Arts at the EDGE Happy Hour from 6 to 7 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 15 to share contest category information and answer questions about #TempeInstagrammys2020.
Entries for Tempe Instagrammys will be accepted Nov. 16 - Dec. 16, 2019. Winners will be notified before Dec. 21.
Tempe Instagrammys Award Ceremony
The 2020 Tempe Instagrammys ceremony will take place at 6 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, at Tempe Center for the Arts, 700 W. Rio Salado Parkway.
All our contest categories will be announced on Nov. 15.
While all our categories are awesome and being a finalist for any of them means you've surpassed some amazing competition, the top prizes for the contest are:
The Wavemaker Award, given to a great photographer who also supports the Instagram community through praise, goodwill and more.
Best of @Tempegov, the equivalent of Photographer of the Year.

Contest Winners must agree to the conditions that our attorneys have set for us once their photo has been selected in order to be named a winner and receive a prize. There will be one winner for each category unless otherwise noted. At judge's discretion, there may be runner ups who will be awarded certificates. Finalist and winning photos will be used by the City of Tempe for city materials, such as digital newsletters, on our website and more, always crediting the photographer. Your work could be seen hundreds of thousands of people, including your friends and neighbors!
