City of Tempe is carefully planning to reopen

On May 13 via a proclamation, Mayor Mark Mitchell reopened city tennis courts, pickleball courts, disc golf areas and skate parks. Still closed at this time are most city facilities, including basketball courts, volleyball courts, swimming pools, playgrounds, ramadas, dog parks and splash pads.

Tempe continues to respond to the coronavirus pandemic, including planning on reopening facilities and restoring services with community members and employees in mind. The city has identified Monday, June 15, as the target date for reopening city facilities, including community centers, the Tempe Public Library, the compost yard and Household Products Collection Center.

Some city programs and services may restart before or after June 15.
