Home MenuVirtual Court
The Tempe Municipal Court provides virtual courtroom proceedings to the public to promote access to justice.
Virtual proceedings allow the public to hear proceedings without being present in the courthouse. There is no cost or registration required to access the virtual proceedings.
Defendants may not use the virtual proceeding link to appear before the Court or to address their case outside of a scheduled hearing. Defendants may participate only at the date and time set by the Court.
Note: Virtual proceedings are active only for select proceedings while the courtroom is in session and on the record. If you are unable to view or hear the proceedings after using the link or using the telephonic option, there may not be a virtual proceeding active at that time.
Information regarding Virtual Pre-Trial Conferences (PTCs):
- The defendant or their attorney should contact the State at least five business days before the scheduled virtual Pre-Trial Conference and discuss a possible resolution. To do so, email your full name and case number to criminalpros-info@tempe.gov or visit City of Tempe Prosecutor's Office | City of Tempe, AZ for more information.
- The State should confer with the defendant or defense counsel prior to the virtual PTC.
- Defendant shall notify the Court of any mailing address, phone number, or email changes.
- Defense counsel may waive defendant’s presence for a virtual PTC if the parties have conferred prior and there will not be a resolution of the case at the setting.
- Defendant is advised that failing to appear remotely or in-person at the PTC may result in an arrest warrant, loss of posted bail, and defaulted civil charges.
