Casey Clowes is a caring and passionate Tempe advocate who has spent her personal and professional life working to improve the lives of others. Casey is running for Tempe City Council in order to pursue more equitable solutions to modern challenges, improve education for all, and foster sustainable communities. Casey thoughtfully considers complex policy matters by consulting with stakeholders and experts before making decisions.
Casey has been an active member in the Tempe community for over a decade. Casey’s passion for advocacy was shaped by Tempe. She graduated from Corona del Sol High School and attended Arizona State University for her undergraduate and graduate degrees. At ASU, Casey pursued a degree focused on community issues and service, receiving her Bachelor of Science in Public Service and Public Policy with specific certifications in Public Administration and Public Management. Casey went on to receive her Juris Doctorate at the Sandra Day O'Connor College of Law at ASU because of her desire to advance innovative solutions to current issues by bridging the gap between legal realities and community needs. Over the course of Casey’s academic career, she served as a leader in her community, supporting underrepresented populations, finding efficient legal solutions to environmental concerns, and creating lasting changes by collaborating with various stakeholders.
Casey is an attorney and a member of the Arizona State Bar’s Council on Persons with Disabilities in the Legal Profession and the Sexual Orientation and Gender Identity Council. Her experience allows her to efficiently and effectively devise solutions to complex policy issues, collaborating with and benefiting individuals from various backgrounds.
Casey continues to serve Tempe by sharing her love of the law, leadership, and civic engagement. She serves as the Faith and Non-Profit Subcommittee Chair on the City of Tempe’s 2020 Census Complete Count Committee, as an advisor for Alpha Gamma Delta at ASU, and as a mentor for the ABA’s Judicial Internship Opportunity Program. She also volunteers at Phoenix Children’s Hospital and teaches students in the law magnet program at South Mountain High School.As a member of the City Council, Casey will carry on Tempe’s tradition of excellent public service by working to build safe and sustainable communities, empowering everyone to participate in the democratic process, and by giving families the resources they need to thrive.
