Who needs to register?
All lobbyists are required to register. A lobbyist is any person who is compensated to communicate with any public official (Tempe City Council, a Board or Commission member, or a Hearing Officer) to influence official action.
When do I register?
Lobbyists shall register with the City Clerk’s Office prior to lobbying or within ten (10) calendar days after first lobbying. Lobbyist registrations must be renewed annually, between Jan. 1 and Jan. 31.
When do I file expenditure reports?
Expenditure Reports are due annually between Jan. 1 and Jan. 31 from each registered lobbyist organization or individual, for the preceding calendar year.
How do I file forms and reports?
The required forms and reports shall be completed and filed using the Lobbyist eFiling System, https://lobbyist.tempe.gov.
