The El Paso Gasline Easement project was created in 1994 as a neighborhood grant request from area neighbors to improve the easement behind their homes into a pedestrian walkway. The project grew into a city capital improvement project, with the first phase from Price Road to Country Club Way completed in the fall of 1997 and the second phase from Kenwood Lane to Heather Drive following later. The improvements include a walkway, landscape and lighting.

The walkway lights from Price Road to Heather Drive are scheduled for replacement this fiscal year, 2016/2017. Landscape improvements are currently scheduled for the following fiscal year, 2017/2018. Three test lights will be installed. One at the end of the path on the east side of Country Club Way.  The other two will be adjacent to each other near the center of the path between Price Road and Country Club Way.

A public meeting occurred on Sept. 27, 2016.  Comment were taken from Sept. 27 to Oct. 11, 2016. Read the comments taken in September and October 2016.
