The Transportation Division is responsible for the design of signage and pavement markings as well as barricading and traffic control projects, maintaining streets, alleys, sidewalks, storm drains, traffic signals and street lights and providing bus, bike, pedestrian and light rail facilities.

The Tempe Transit Store is open Monday through Friday from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and closed on major holidays. Local and reduced all-day, 7-day, 15-day, 31-day bus passes are available for purchase. Acceptable forms of payment include cash, VISA and MasterCard. Reduced Fare Program IDs are issued from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. weekdays.
