A major increase in the potential for heat related illness and even death. Those working or exercising outdoors during the daytime, the elderly, and those without access to adequate air conditioning will be most at risk. Arizona's summer heat can be deadly for those who are living on the streets.  As part of a regional effort to save lives in our hottest months, several locations are available throughout Tempe to offer respite from the heat.  Referred to as Hydration Stations, these locations provide a place to cool off and get hydrated with plenty of water during the summer months.
