Construction Underway

Construction on Fire Medical Rescue Station 7 began in late May 2018 and is expected to be in service summer 2019. At the same time, Estrada Park is undergoing improvements and is expected to reopen in early 2019.

For more information on the fire station project, the public can call the administrative office for the Tempe Fire Medical Rescue Department at 480-858-7200.

August 2018 - The fire station takes shape with the stem walls in place.

Estrada Park, salvaged trees, fire station 7

June 2018 - The site is being cleared to make way for construction. Trees remaining in ground and the boxed salvageable trees are being water and maintained.

May 2018 - Estate La Colina neighbors joined Mayor Mark Mitchell and Councilmember Lauren Kuby and staff from Tempe Fire Medical Rescue, Public Works and Community Services departments in a groundbreaking for the new fire station and park improvements.
