Performances at the Museum returns this weekend with all female lineup
Celebrate women in local music this fall with the return of Performances at the Museum beginning this Saturday night. This season’s performances will feature female musicians in a variety of genres ranging from mariachi to rhythm and blues to rock and roll. The shows are free to attend. The casual, family-friendly environment gives attendees an up close and personal setting with the performers. The series begins this Saturday, Sept. 9 with Las Chollas Peligrosas, an all-female group that plays traditional Latin music ranging from mariachi to cumbia to old world gypsy folk.
All Performances at the Museum events start at 7 p.m. and take place at the Tempe History Museum, located at 809 E. Southern Rd. For a full schedule and lineup, visit www.tempe.gov/MuseumEvents or call 480-350-5100.
