Tempe Police Arrest Three Men in Connection to Fatal Thanksgiving Day Shooting

One man was shot dead and a woman remains in critical condition

TEMPE, ARIZ. – Yesterday, police arrested three men involved in a shooting that left 24-
year-old Anthony Carlos dead and a woman in critical condition.

Around 8:30 p.m., on Thursday night, Tempe Police 9-1-1 received multiple calls of “shots
fired” at 987 W. Washington Street.

Police arrived at the apartment complex and found Carlos dead
and a woman in critical condition. The woman was taken to the hospital where she remains in
stable but critical condition.

Detectives worked continuously throughout the weekend, gathering evidence on scene and
interviewing witnesses. Nearly 30 bullet casings were found at the scene and over 30 people
have been interviewed so far.

On Sunday, December 1st, Tempe Police arrested three of the men believed to be involved in the shooting.

All three men were charged with Conspiracy, First Degree Murder and Aggravated Assault.
The investigation is on-going and there are still outstanding suspects.

The shooting was not domestic violence related but those involved were all familiar with each other.
