Free capital raising workshops for businesses

Do you have a business or business idea that needs capital to grow and succeed? 

Attend a series of free, expert-led capital raising workshops hosted by the City of Tempe. At a series of three free lunch and learns, you can meet people who can help you through the process and learn the steps to make the most of an influx of capital. 

Workshops take place from 11:30 to 1 p.m. at the Tempe History Museum, 809 E. Southern Ave., Tempe.

Session 1 
Preparing a company to raise capital

Session 2
Raising capital with bank financing or outside investment
Wednesday, March 25  

Session 3
What to do after a capital raise
Wednesday, April 29

Each session is led by Donald Laughlin, a 20-year financial expert.

Cheryl Folkerth, RedW
A CPA with more than 30 years of experience working with privately held businesses, Folkerth assists with tax issues, business structure and more.


Greg Kolton, Western Bank

Kolton offers more than 48 years of banking experience and can help businesses navigate lending.

Michael Patterson, Spencer Fane
Patterson served on the Governor's Arizona-Mexico Commission. He advises businesses with corporate, compliance and securities matters and international concerns.

Chris Roden, Camaro Capital
An experienced investment banker, lender and risk manager, Roden has helped provide growth capital to lower middle market companies for more than 20 years.

Richard Swetonic, Lovitt-Touche
Swetonic has 25 years of experience in business development, major account management, finance, consulting and insurance.
