Input needed to shape Tempe’s housing and community development plans
Community input is needed to guide the City of Tempe’s five-year housing and community development plan. An online needs assessment survey is open through November at https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/DRXMGW7.
Tempe’s Housing Services is conducting the survey to gather feedback on a wide range of priorities, such as providing housing for seniors and people with disabilities, increasing housing options for people at different income levels, preserving existing affordable housing and serving people who are experiencing homelessness.
The needs assessment survey is used as part of the planning process for the FY 2020-2025 Consolidated Housing and Community Development Plan. This plan will guide the use of resources like Home Investment Partnership (HOME) and Community Development Block Grant (CDBG) funding.
The city’s Consolidated Plan will be submitted to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in the spring of 2020. For more information about Tempe’s Housing Services, visit www.tempe.gov/housing.
