Grow your gardening skills with Tempe Public Library classes

Tired of gardening without a green thumb? Tempe Public Library is offering two classes this month to help you grow your garden to its full potential. Learn about choosing desert plants, soils, water uses and more.

Monsoon Gardening

Wednesday, July 10, 6-7:30 p.m.

Instructor: Emily Heller, Master Gardener and farmer. 

During the monsoon rainfall and higher humidity create an opportunity in your garden. Learn what grows under these challenging conditions and create a beautiful, seasonally appropriate garden.

Maximize Your Irrigation

Saturday, July 13, 2-4:30 p.m.

Instructor: Jeff Lee, irrigation specialist. 

Each summer, water usage peaks in July or August, and utility bills skyrocket. Learn how to maximize your irrigation with practical tips and strategies.
