College Connect March Update

Spring is in the air and the end of the school year is right around the corner. Though summer is approaching, College Connect is nowhere near finished for the year. Check out all April has to offer for students and parents. For info on all offerings, visit


Mark your calendars for Saturday, April 13 for the next College Connect workshop featuring summer job opportunities, complete with a job and volunteer fair. There will also be an end-of-year celebration and scholarship winners will be announced. The workshop is from 10 a.m. to Noon; registration begins at 9:45 a.m. Registration is encouraged. College Chats are smaller group sessions with experienced advisors from state and community colleges. Get first-hand info from the schools that interest you on topics like career exploration, financial aid, scholarships, applications, admissions, class choice and more. Chats are held at the Tempe Public Library. Here is the College Chat schedule for March and April.

Info: Students and families can learn how to navigate the college system, the difference between attending a University and college, college terms, clubs, overview of FAFSA and scholarships and hear testimonials from college students. Information will be presented in Spanish.
