Swan boats come to Town Lake March 20

Post Date:03/14/2019 8:00 AM

Swans have migrated to Tempe Town Lake - swans big enough for a family to float on together. Tempe Boat Rentals has purchased a flock of swan-shaped pedal boats just in time for spring.

To help the bird boats take off, you are invited to enjoy a free boat ride on Tempe Town Lake from 5 - 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 20. You might even get to meet Olympic rowers Seth Weil and Henrik Rummel, who are training for the 2020 Olympics this winter at Tempe Town Lake. They will be there from 5-8 a.m.

Tempe Boat Rentals will be offering free rides on pedal boats, standup paddleboards and kayaks. Join us at Tempe Beach Park, Wednesday, March 20 from 5- 10 a.m. The City of Tempe Boating staff will also be on hand to talk about classes and clubs for standup paddleboard, kayaking, rowing and more. You might even see a dragon boat or two gliding across the lake.

For more information about the swan boats or boat rentals, contact Tempe Boat Rentals at 855-690-0794.
