Geeks Night Out STEAM festival returns on March 20

Robots and solar-powered race cars, anyone? Join more than 70 Tempe wavemakers and Discover the Science at the 8th annual Geeks Night Out. Representatives from Tempe elementary, middle and high schools, college students, community partners and businesses will be on hand with interactive booths and exhibits that blend science, technology, engineering, arts and math (STEAM). 

Tempe is known for its technology companies, its entrepreneurial and innovative spirit, and groundbreaking research at Arizona State University and many other colleges. Come see for yourself and experience fun, educational activities ranging from 3-D printers and Ozobots to Hydroponics and recycled art. You can create earthquake-safe buildings, make your own salsa or try your hand at coding exercises. There will be a bounce house, food truck, musical performances and more. Admission is free. 

When: Wednesday, March 20, 4:30-7:30 p.m.

Where: Tempe Community Complex, 3500 S. Rural Road in the parking lot north of the Tempe Public Library (off Southern Avenue)
