Tempe one of the Best Places to Live in America, according to Livability
Results are in: Tempe is the best place to live in Arizona and among the top 20 best places to live in America, according to Livability.com.
The study examined more than 1,000 American cities based on thousands of data points measuring economics, housing, amenities, infrastructure, demographics, social and civic capital, education and health care.
"I'm proud to see Tempe highlighted as one of the best cities in the country and state, especially considering the study included cities with populations as large as 1 million people," said Tempe Mayor Mark Mitchell. "We work hard every day to make our community the best it can be. Studies like this show our efforts are getting results."
Livability explores what makes small-to-medium sized cities great places to live. The analysis company examines topics related to community amenities, education, sustainability, transportation, housing and the economy and develops city rankings for a range of topics including small towns, college towns and its annual Top 100 Best Places to Live.
The study highlighted attributes including the free Orbit shuttles, Arizona State University, Four Peaks Brewery, House of Tricks and more as great reasons to live in Tempe.
