Free Hydrate Tempe workshops at Tempe Public Library

Post Date:01/07/2019 10:38 AM

Grow a garden full of native plants, learn how to harvest rain, and find out how your laundry water can be recycled for use in your yard. The Tempe Public Library is partnering with Watershed Management Group to hydrate Tempe. Take part in one or all the upcoming workshops and get the tools you need to keep your landscape hydrated while conserving water. Each presentation includes a mini-project to create an action plan for your home.

Learn to choose native plants that will shade your home and create an appealing landscape for your yard.

Wednesday, Jan. 16: Hydrate Your Food

Learn how to use rain tanks as an active form of rainwater harvesting to nourish your vegetable and herb gardens.

Wednesday, Jan. 23: Hydrate Your Soils

Learn how to assess your yard’s soil type and how to use household wastes to build soil health.

Wednesday, Jan. 30: Hydrate with Greywater
