Middle Kid Zone now taking registrations for spring: New Gililland location opening

Post Date:12/05/2018 8:30 AM

Tempe’s Middle Kid Zone is now accepting registrations for its winter and spring out-of-school-time programs at Ward Traditional Academy, Fees, Tempe Academy and Gililland Middle School, which will open in late December. Middle Kid Zone offers a safe, enriching place for students before and after school. Students receive:

  • Affordable rates
  • Flexible one, three and five-day schedules
  • STEM curriculum including engineering, coding, robotics and more
  • Leadership skill-building including community service options, Garden Club and more
  • Fine arts skill-building in drama, dance, art and music
  • Staff-led homework time

All programming and activities are designed for youth in sixth to eighth grades. Kid Zone programs are DHS licensed and DES certified, meaning staff-to-student ratios are low and the highest quality of care is provided.

Registration must be done in-person at the Edna Vihel Arts building, 3340 S. Rural Road (in the library complex). Office hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

For more information, visit tempe.gov/KidZone or call 480-350-5405.
