Did you know?

A community filled with amazing value

Tempe has so many programs, services, and events that add value to our community. I believe they are what sets us apart from other communities to make the quality of life in our city that much better.

For example, have you thought about repainting your home lately? Did you know that Tempe has a home painting program that offers discounted rates to residents? Just reach out for your free consultation and estimate. The city also provides free recycled paint at our Household Products Collection Center. Here you can also drop-off any household hazardous products like chemicals and batteries.

Of course, as you repaint your home, you might decide to spruce up the landscaping. Did you know that we have resources for that too? If your circumstances are such that you need some extra tools, you can use some of ours. The Tempe Tool Box program rents out tools to residents and groups for neighborhood clean-ups.

Is there a design project you have in mind to enhance your neighborhood’s quality of life? Did you know that the city offers $275,000 a year in its neighborhood grant program? A neighborhood can receive up to $15,000 a year for a qualified project.

Now, as business owner or homeowner, did you know that in Tempe you have the support you need to complete your new construction project more easily with our Project Assistance Team? This team of experts will guide you throughout the process to help you save time and money.

Tempe is a city with heart and that extends to our program that connects people in need with the services they need. At the hub of our human services network is Care 7, an award-winning team of professionals that offer help with navigating through a crisis, healing and recovery. In addition to these services, did you know that Tempe is a Veteran Supportive City? With a commitment to veterans that encompasses a veterans housing project called Valor on Eighth and administrative support for the East Valley Regional Veterans Court, Tempe also claims the East Valley's Military and Veterans Success Center as the one-stop place for veteran services in our community.

We live in an unique city with many programs, services, and events that are designed to meet the needs of our diverse community. You have my guarantee that we will continue developing the best opportunities for residents to enjoy a high quality of life. Did you know Tempe launched a new city website? Check out for more information on all of the things you can know more about in our community.
